The Grow Asia Digital Learning Series (DLS) is a regular platform for Grow Asia’s Digital Community of Practice to share insights and learnings on how digital solutions can be developed and scaled to benefit smallholder farmers across the region. DLS is part of Grow Asia's regional, GrowVentures Impact Fund, supported by IFAD, Korea's Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), Visa and Thai Wah.

This series focuses on discussing existing solutions to overcome key challenges and exploring the transformative potential of digital finance in enhancing smallholder livelihoods. Featuring insights from digital finance providers and stakeholders, the sessions will showcase practical solutions and success stories, highlighting how digital finance can improve access to farming technology and market opportunities.

The series returned in June 2025 with an exciting two-part webinar spotlighting the Top 10 Innovators from the Grow Asia Innovation Challenge 2025—trailblazing startups advancing digital solutions for smallholder farmers in Southeast Asia.

🔍 During the sessions, participants gained:

🔹 Insights into how AI and IoT are driving tech adoption and digital advisory tools

🔹 A look at innovations in traceability, financing, and sustainable inputs

🔹 Real-world stories of innovation designed for and with smallholder farmers

🔹 Opportunities to connect with regional leaders advancing inclusive agri-food systems

Held virtually on 11 and 13 June, the two sessions focused on:

📅 June 11: Leveraging AI & IoT for Digital Advisory & Tech Adoption

📅 June 13: Enhancing Productivity & Sustainability: Traceability, Financing, and Sustainable Inputs

The Grow Asia Innovation Challenge is supported by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Korea's Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), in collaboration with the Philippines Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture (PPSA) and Villgro Philippines. The initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of climate-smart innovations by smallholder farmers across Southeast Asia.
